Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) work in schools and colleges in Hull. We support children and young people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. We work with teachers and parents too so they have the right skills to support children and young people.
Our teams consist of Senior Practitioners and Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs). We work with many schools and colleges and other children and young people’s services in Hull.
Unfortunately we're not yet available in all schools and colleges in the city, but we have plans to expand.
Services include:
1:1 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for children and young people from year 5
Group sessions with classes or selected smaller groups
Assembly sessions
Supporting parents and carers with their child’s emotional wellbeing
Supporting whole school and college approaches to emotional wellbeing and mental health
